In my design process, I prefer to spend as much time as I can understanding a problem and the materials, behaviors, and processes involved before I try to solve it. I apply my engineering knowledge to hone in on functionality and durability, then use my artistic experience to ensure a high level of craftsmanship and aesthetics are achieved.
